Diaper Changing Essentials – What Worked for Us

Diaper changes happen A LOT in those first few months, so having a well-stocked and convenient setup makes all the difference. Here’s what we use for Zozo’s diaper changes and why each item has been a game-changer.

1. 🛏️ Changing Pad

We have our changing pad right on top of the dresser in our room. It keeps things organized, and we don’t have to bend over for every diaper change.

2. 💦 Dry Wipes & Warm Water

At first, we used regular wet wipes, but we noticed Zozo would flinch because they felt cold to the touch. Now, we use dry cotton wipes and dip them in warm water. We keep a small container of warm water nearby, and it’s been a gentler option for her.

3. 🍑 Rash Cream

We apply diaper rash cream after every cleaning to prevent irritation. It’s a simple step that makes a huge difference in keeping her skin happy.

4. 🛏️ Disposable Changing Sheets

These go on top of the changing pad to catch any unexpected surprises. If Zozo decides to pee or poop mid-change, the disposable sheet absorbs the mess, making cleanup quick and easy.

5. 🎒 Diaper Organizer Bag

We keep all the diaper-changing essentials in one place: diapers, wipes, rash cream, a nail filer, muslin cloths, and small towels. Having everything in one bag makes changes faster and less stressful.

6. 🗑️ Diaper Bin

The diaper bin sits right next to the dresser. After wiping Zozo, we immediately toss the used wipes in the bin. It keeps everything clean and odor-free.

7. 🔥 Mini Heater

To make diaper changes more comfortable, we use a mini heater in the room. Babies get cold quickly when their clothes are off, so this little heater helps keep Zozo warm during changes.
